This is a foundational course which will ground photographers and Photoshop software owners in the practical use of their software so that they can become confident and competent.
It is applicable to most versions of Photoshop Elements & CS, however only features that are included in both Photoshop Elements and Photoshop CS will be covered.
Not every feature in the software will be covered. Only those that the tutor considers are considered useful and practical to everyday use for the everyday photographer.
There will be class activities / challenges, demonstrations, power point presentations and homework.
Everything in the course builds knowledge upon knowledge. It’s not just about ‘grabbing’ a tool or ‘moving’ a slider but gives grounding in understanding how and why a certain action would work so that the user can approach the software as one might approach a familiar friend! This comes from an understanding of the makeup of the digital image and takes the guesswork out of the workflow.
